We live in a world of Google. No one will deny. Has anyone every thought about the fact that "Googling" is an actual word now? That is, a company's name that become so integrated with our lives and culture that it got turned into a verb. "Just Google it bro." That is wild.
But did you know, Google is not the only search engine that exists? It is a crazy concept for a lot of people. And that's okay. We use what we are used to. At school all our computers had Google as the search engine, so that's what I used for a very long time, until I found some alternatives that respected my privacy and my data. Before I continue, I want to clarify some terms. Most of you probably know this already, but if you don't it's always cool to learn new things! A search engine is the thing that you type things in to search through the internet. A web browser is the thing you click on your computer to access the internet through a search engine (so like Google Chrome or Firefox). So below is a list of cool search engine alternatives to Google. Because there is more out there than big tech:
